How your information is handled
A. Who we are
Our website address is: https://phi-tuition.co.uk.
Phi Tuition is committed to protecting and respecting the privacy of our students, their families and our staff. For any personal data provided for the purposes of delivering our services, Phi Tuition is the Data Controller and is responsible for storing and otherwise processing that data in a fair, lawful, secure and transparent way.
B. What personal data we hold
You may give us information by filling in forms during registration or by corresponding with us by phone, email or otherwise. This includes information you provide when you get in touch with us. The information you give us may include your name, address, email address, phone number and background. We only collect and store information needed for the purposes of delivering our services.
C. Why we need your personal data
We need this data to administer our operations and provide services to students and their families. Our lawful basis for processing your personal data is that we have a contractual obligation to you as a client to provide the services you are registering for.
Phi Tuition may use social media accounts. Please note that social media platforms have their own privacy policies, and Phi Tuition does not accept responsibility or liability for those policies. Please check these policies before submitting any personal data on social media pages.
D. Media and lesson recordings
If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data, such as EXIF GPS data. Visitors to the website may be able to download and extract location data from images.
For online lessons, sessions may be recorded for future viewing and learning support. By allowing students to participate in online lessons, we assume parents have given permission. If you do not wish lessons to be recorded, please let us know.
E. Who we share your personal data with
Phi Tuition does not supply personal data held for this purpose to any other third party.
F. Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content, such as videos, images or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with that embedded content.
G. How long we retain your data
For operational reasons, such as monitoring student progress and improving the quality of our services, we hold personal data on our systems for as long as we have your permission. The data is updated when you notify us of changes. Any personal data we hold about you will be securely destroyed upon your request to delete it. Your data is not processed for any further purposes other than those detailed in this policy.
H. Your rights regarding your personal data
As a data subject, you may have the right to request access to, rectification or erasure of your personal data; to restrict or object to certain kinds of processing, including direct marketing; to the portability of your personal data; and to complain to the UK’s data protection supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office, about the processing of your personal data.
